Bespoke printing and design is at the heart of our business and we take great pride from working with our customers to develop fully individual projects that bring their printing visions to life.
We understand that with any new project, price and time will be important considerations in your decision making process. Here, we will endeavour to break down the time and efforts involved and share what you might expect when working with our creative team to develop stationery that is perfectly tailored to your requirements.
Investing in Design – What am I Paying For?
Design is an art form and truly bespoke design requires time, consideration, innovation and a skillfully trained eye.
Each project will begin with a conversation, ideally in person, where our creative consultants will discuss what you wish to achieve and form a well-rounded view of your vision and parameters. This briefing stage is arguably the most important stage as it sets the blueprint the project.
We will ask for any content or visual inspiration that you would like us to consider, and discuss everything from colour schemes and fonts, to paper choices and print processes.
The more detailed information you provide, the better! This will help us to fully understand your requirements, ultimately leading to less iterations and a lower time and project cost.
Artworking, Design and Revisions
From here, our designers will draft visual proof for your review. These may be in the form of sketches or digital mock ups and will be used to bring tangibility and a visual reference to your project.
Your feedback on these proofs will be important to guide the creative team in revising and finalising your design to ensure it perfectly matches your requirements. Several iterations will incur additional time and cost. Once you have provided your final approval on the designs, the team will be prepare the files for print and work will begin in the production studio.
There are many ways to put ink on paper, each with their own set up and cost. Translating a good design into print is a skill in itself and this is a careful consideration as we prepare our designs. Any specialist printing such as engraving, foil blocking, embossing and laser cutting require professional techniques and processes to ensure they have a high quality finish.
For example, die cutting requires the creation of a specially made cutting form that can be created from an artwork outline. This will allow for numerous copies can be ‘cut out’ from a sheet to produce any shape. Die cutting gives a very individual look, and opens up numerous creative possibilities within stationery design.
Your completed stationery is always thoroughly checked by our Quality Control team before being packaged and delivered to you anywhere in the world.
